Press Release and Statement (HK)
5 things you can do to make sure Yan return to the LegCo
There are 5 candidate-lists in this by-election. Compared with the last by-election in Kowloon West, this campaign is even more keen and critical. Our ability to mobilize as many voters as possible is the deciding factor. We appeal to all members to take the following actions:
1. Union members living in Kowloon West: Vote on 25 November (Sunday) with your family members. Remember, your vote might be the deciding one!
Carol Ng: Lee Cheuk Yan, one of the most reliable comrades in labour struggle.
Since the early days of the HKCTU, Lee Cheuk Yan has always been at the forefront in fighting for the rights alongside our fellow flight attendances through thick and thin. May it be the Cathay Pacific flight attendants strike in 1993, or our successful but grueling litigations against the British Airways on trade union discrimination and retirement age, Lee has always been our strongest ally and most steadfast supporter.
Fermi Wong: Lee Cheuk-yan firmly and passionately committed to workers’ rights, regardless of their ethnicity
I am Fermi Wong. I recommend Lee Cheuk-yan to you, dear constituents of Kowloon West, to be your Legislative Councillor, such as to entitle him to continue to serve our beloved Hong Kong in the LegCo, as a champion for the working class in Hong Kong.
No compromise for workers’ rights!! Bring workers’ voice back to the LegCo - Vote on 25 November!
